About Me
I’m Michelle, the Keeper of Ink & Ether, part curator, part dreamer.
This bookstore was born out of a moment of deep reflection. I had spent years giving my time and energy to jobs that didn’t feed my soul. And when the world felt especially heavy politically, emotionally, spiritually, I knew I wanted to build something that did more than pay the bills. I wanted to build something that mattered.
Books have always held that kind of power for me. Even when I don’t have as much time to read as I’d like, I come back to them again and again, for comfort, for challenge, for connection. Opening Ink & Ether was a way to reclaim that power. To share stories that deserve to be seen. To create a space for women of color, indie authors, romantasy lovers, and anyone who finds magic in the margins.
I don’t call myself the owner of Ink & Ether, because this isn’t something I own. It’s something I tend.
It’s a living archive. A quiet invitation. A gathering place for those who believe stories can be spells.
I’m not the owner.
I’m the Keeper.
About Ink & Ether
Ink & Ether is an indie pop-up bookstore conjured at the crossroads of resistance, ritual, and reverence for story.
Born from a desire to do more than clock in and survive, this shop exists to uplift the voices that often go unheard, especially women of color, indie authors, and writers whose work moves between the realms of the magical and the meaningful.
We specialize in fantasy, feminist fiction, and other genre-defiant works that challenge, comfort, and enchant. Whether you’re looking for a love story laced with power, a revolutionary spell disguised as prose, or a book that reminds you you’re not alone, you’ll find it here.
Ink & Ether is more than a shop. It’s a gathering point for readers who crave connection, community, and the thrill of discovering something rare. We believe stories are spells, and every page turned is a quiet act of resistance.
You didn’t stumble here.
You were summoned.
